DAY AND NIGHT CARE ASSISTANTS


We are currently recruiting for experienced care assistants to join our client’s privately run, warm, friendly care home in Downend Bristol, South Gloucestershire.  The care home specializes in providing high quality care and support for old people who may be living with several long term conditions.


Candidates:

Applicants should possess NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential), basic education including Maths and English, have paid care experience in the last 2 years working with the elderly. Our client desires applicants who are warm, friendly, dedicated, and flexible to shifts hours with alternate weekend working, available for training and willing to make a true difference in peoples’ lives.  You should be able to provide two adequate references and submit to a DBS check. You will show evidence of permission to work in the UK.


Duties are varied and include giving person-centred personal care, manual handling, assist with feeding if needed, liaise with professionals and families, support clients to maintain activity and their independence and be fully supportive of the team so that the day’s job is done.

RECRUITMENT

We are currently recruiting for experienced care assistants, support workers and nurses to cover varying emergency shifts within Bristol, Bath, Chippenham, and North Somerset (Weston Super Mare, Nailsea, Portishead, and Clevedon). The care homes and Extra Care Housing Units specialize in providing high quality care for older people with dementia/Alzheimer and learning/physical disabilities.


Candidates:

Care Assistants should possess NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential), basic education, including Maths and English, have care experience in the last year working with people with learning difficulties, old age, dementia/Alzheimer’s . We desire persons who are of a good conduct and are kind, warm, friendly, dedicated, and flexible to shifts hours. You must be available for training and willing to make a true difference in peoples’ lives. You should be able to provide two references and submit to a DBS check (unpaid). You will show evidence of permission to work in the UK. Nurses should provide the required documentation to show ability to practice in the UK.

Duties are varied and depending on Care home or Extra Care Housing shifts include giving person-centred personal care, medication administration and/ or prompting, manual handling, assist with feeding if needed, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning and social calls, liaise with professionals and families, support clients to maintain activity and their independence and be fully supportive of the team so that the day’s job is done, use of communication aids to support clients with learning difficulties while maintaining their privacy, dignity and respect.
